A little about me:
I was born in Denver and moved to Anchorage in 1983. In 2017 I moved just outside Palmer and absolutely love it. Aside from college in Louisiana, I am, have been and always will be a proud lifelong Alaskan. I know the environment, the different factors to consider in various parts of the state (or city for that matter) and I look forward to sharing tips for around your new home as well as great local outdoor opportunities if that is something you are interested in. --Alaskan code-- fishing holes are not to be talked about.
I have been around construction my entire life and have been helping to build things or building them myself since I could swing a hammer. I have done all aspects of residential construction privately and most professionally. This means that I know the proper way to do things and will let you, the client, know when things were done incorrectly.
Currently, my garage is an active woodworking shop where I build custom furniture and yard decor and occasionally restore an antique piece or two in my spare time. I also offer custom laser engraving services.
I was a REALTOR® for ten years and have an intimate working knowledge of how the process works. I will explain how sometimes a less expensive fix can be possible to satisfy Health and Safety requirements that the Appraiser may focus on. (Think replacing bedroom windows vs. a different approach)
I have been an inspector since 2019 and have performed over 500 inspections across Alaska with reviews that I encourage you to read.

It is my job to educate you about your new home or investment property. Given adequate cell service, I will provide you with the report and explain my findings in detail with you in person before we leave the appointment. We will go over any questions you might have and they will be answered then and there to eliminate as much confusion as possible. If cell service is unavailable, we will go over the findings in person as best we can and then you are welcome to reach out with any questions you may have once you receive the report.
The report is designed to be viewed online, is mobile-friendly and includes zoom-able photos and embedded videos if necessary.
I take pride in what I do, the level of service I provide and I look forward to educating you about your new home and sharing knowledge along the way.
Whether it's the fact that silicone caulking actually dries by absorbing moisture which contributes to it shrinking and cracking (i.e. bathrooms) or something more serious, I do everything in my power to bring it to your attention.
