Not many people can say that they truly have found their purpose in life. Mike's decision to become a home inspector was based on his love of homes and architecture. After discovering the home inspection trade after purchasing his first home in 2003, he has expended a tremendous amount of time working to become the best inspector he can be.
Mike spent the first formative years of his life living in a home in South Weymouth, MA that was built in 1697, less than a mile from the first settlement in Massachusetts (after the landing at Plymouth Rock).
Growing up in that colonial era home gave him a unique appreciation for old homes. He came to admire the workmanship and craftsmanship that was employed in building homes.
During the home inspection of his first home back in 2003, he diligently followed the home inspector around as the gentleman inspected the home. Mike knew at that moment he had found his calling in life.
It took many years to get there, but eventually he apprenticed with a master homebuilder for 2 years and acquired his home inspection license back in 2012.
Since then, Mike has added numerous additional credentials to his home inspection license, including becoming a HUD 203k Consultant, Pest Inspector, and Mold Expert. To date, Mike has inspected over 5500 homes in his career.
He currently resides on the side of a mountain in Weare, New Hampshire with his wife Michelle and their numerous rescue dogs.
His hobbies include mountain biking, writing, history, and anything Sci-Fi / Pop Culture related.
