Chip brings more than 20 years of hands-on residential construction experience to his role as a home inspector. Before relocating to Florida, he owned and operated a construction company in the Boston area, working extensively in framing, roofing, siding, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, decks, porches, interior finish work, and select custom homes. His years in construction also gave him a strong working knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other major home systems.

After selling his construction company to his employees and relocating to Florida, Chip brought that experience into the home inspection industry. Having spent decades building, remodeling, and repairing homes, he understands not only what he is looking at during an inspection, but how the components of a home were put together, how they interact, and why problems can develop over time.

Chip’s approach to inspections is thorough, practical, and straightforward. He believes a good home inspection should do more than provide a list of defects. His goal is to help clients understand the home they are buying, identify the concerns that truly deserve attention, and put smaller maintenance items into perspective.
