He was born and raised in Bradenton and is a proud graduate of Manatee High School. After graduating, he joined the United States Coast Guard, where he spent two years stationed on a construction tender in the Great Lakes. Following that assignment, he spent another two years in Mississippi working with a law enforcement unit.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time on the water. His hobbies include cooking, surfing, diving, and spearfishing. He also genuinely enjoys connecting with people and is always up for a good conversation.
