   "My wife Kim and I moved from the East Coast to Truckee, CA in January of 2019 for the mountain lifestyle.  We love snow and to recreate in the mountains all year long whether it's snowboarding, splitboarding, hiking, biking, climbing or kayaking.  We opened up a Blendlife Food Truck in Truckee, CA in July of 2020 which we started back on the East Coast in 2016.  I enjoyed building both food trailers for Blendlife as well as getting out to our communities and feeding happy people at events and farmers markets.  The instability of covid-19, lack of employees and the high demand workload of running my own food truck, I decided it was time for a career change.  

   I did all my Home Inspector training through InterNachi (International Home Inspector Association) over the Winter/Spring of last year and opened up my own business, ASAP Home Inspections in May of 2021.  I really enjoy performing home inspections for my customers and helping them make an informed decision that could be one of their biggest financial decisions of their lives.  I have personal experience of buying a home and then have major defects that cost me thousands of dollars.   I take my job very seriously, my motto is "Knowledgeable, Trustworthy and Observant." 

   I also have my own Skate, Snow and Surf lifestyle company that I started in 2010, called Faceplant Boardriders (www.faceplantboardriders.com).  I have been building downhill skateboards since I was 13 years old.  It's been a lifelong passion project that I still do today.  The experience of customer service from running my own food truck and the entrepreneurial drive from my skate company has led me to where I am today with ASAP Home Inspections.   My wife and I live in Glenshire now and just had our first child, a baby boy in December!  We feel so fortunate to be a part of the Truckee Community." - Rob Wheeler
