At the age of eight, Tim was enthralled by craftsmen building a log cabin at Silver Dollar City. That experience, combined with the family ritual of watching This Old House on Saturday nights, inspired a life-long fascination with architecture and construction.
With over twenty years of construction experience—15 of them as a general contractor—and multiple real estate investments under his belt, it’s safe to say he understands the joys and hazards of home buying.
Tim grew up in a suburban home, and he has come to appreciate them even more in recent years. Of the three homes he has lived in as an adult, the current one is the newest, at the ripe young age of 115. That’s what a childhood of This Old House does to you.
As for Silver Dollar City, the dream of a hand-built cabin of stone and wood, lives on.
