Before becoming a Licensed Home Inspector, Shawn spent 23 years working as a Disaster‑Housing Inspector, completing more than 15,000 FEMA Inspections across the country. He has seen every kind of structure and condition imaginable. His background also includes hands‑on experience in Roofing, Flooring, Window and Door Installation, Siding, Drywall & Insulation, Finish/Trim Carpentry, and assisting with Electrical and Plumbing work – experience that gives him a deeper understanding of how homes are built and where issues tend to hide. He previously held Certifications in Lead and Asbestos Abatement as well, adding to his understanding of Environmental risks in residential structures. In other words, Shawn knows how homes are built, and he knows how to inspect them.
