Andy Lewis of Silver Maple Home Inspections started work as a carpenter in 2003, performing all aspects of home construction and repair. From project management, framing and finish carpentry, to electrical, plumbing and mechanicals. From 2017-2022 he was head of the Building Department in a local municipality. This entailed overseeing all aspects of the construction projects performed during this time. Including plan review and approval, documenting construction inspections, communicating with contractors, engineers and town planning officials.

This has provided a wealth of knowledge regarding local building practices, codes and regulations in the Hudson Valley and Catskills region of New York. These years of experience go in to every home inspection report.
