Ian is a home inspector with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to helping buyers truly understand the homes they're purchasing. His interest in houses began in high school when he built one with his family, and it later blossomed when he bought his first house and tagged along for the inspection (which he thoroughly enjoyed).

Ian brings a methodical, analytical mindset to every inspection. He believes that a great inspection isn't just about finding issues, it's about making sure buyers understand what those issues mean for them. He takes the time to walk clients through his findings in plain language, meeting them wherever they are in their knowledge of homes and homeownership. Ian's background in physics and years of experience tutoring help him understand and explain the systems of a home in detail. He loves talking to people about how things work, and he always makes sure that every last question gets answered.

Originally from Colorado, Ian moved to Portland in 2017. He fell in love with the city, the people, and the abundance of natural beauty. He likes to spend his time backpacking, climbing, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest.
