In 2009 I started Real Estate Investing. It was new to me, and I had a lot to learn. Some of it was pretty straight forward, but I quickly found that I had no idea how to "look" at a house. After networking with other investors and hiring home inspectors, I still made mistakes, and the inspections I received didn't really help me that much. I became a Licensed General Contractor and learned building science for use in my investing business. During that time, I received some instruction from an inspector who was also an investor. He encouraged me to become an inspector. I started the process and I learned more about building science through InterNACHI training than I learned becoming a General Contractor!

Now I am an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. My background in Real Estate Investing and General Contracting have given me the experience I need to talk to homeowners about how to protect their investment, and to prospective homeowners to give them confidence in their Due Diligence process.

There is no such thing as a "perfect home". Maintenance is a constant and will never go away. Most homes have some things that need attention. Even major concerns can be remedied to the satisfaction of those concerned. The key is to know what needs to be done and find an economical way to do it.
