Since 1994, I, Dean Young, have owned and operated a successful residential and commercial contracting business, developing decades of hands-on experience across all phases of construction. Throughout my career, I have reviewed countless due diligence repair reports on behalf of both buyers and sellers, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and preparedness during one of the most critical phases of a real estate transaction. This deep-rooted experience provided the foundation for a natural and seamless transition into the home inspection industry.
My entry into the inspection profession was initiated when a leading home inspection firm recognized my extensive construction knowledge and professionalism. I was offered a position as a home inspector, where my background in both residential and commercial building systems allowed me to immediately deliver value to clients seeking detailed and dependable property assessments.
To further formalize my expertise, I completed training through the Home Inspection Training Center in Burlington, North Carolina. I am a certified inspector through InterNACHI, hold a Pre-Drywall Certification, and maintain additional certifications in radon testing, mold assessment, air quality, and HVAC systems through Mainstream Engineering and other accredited institutions. I am also licensed to perform inspections in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, and have successfully passed the NASCLA Business, Law, and Project Management exam, further demonstrating my commitment to industry compliance and excellence.
After gaining valuable experience in the field, I founded The Inspection Co., an independent home inspection firm built on integrity, precision, and client advocacy. Our company is known for providing high-quality residential and commercial inspections across a wide service area—including Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Burlington, Asheboro, Lexington, the Triangle region, Charlotte, and surrounding areas in North Carolina, as well as parts of South Carolina and Virginia.
