Why people call us

Striler Home Inspections has been inspecting homes in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island since 2011. We have five licensed inspectors on the team, four of them in the field. That means two things for you: we can usually get to you fast, and the person who walks through your door has real miles behind them.

Come with us

Most of our clients do, and we hope you will. Walk the house with your inspector. Ask whatever you want, as many times as you want. There are no dumb questions, and you will not be in the way.

Ask your inspector to show you where the water shuts off, where the electrical panel is, and how the heat comes on. Small things, but the kind of thing you want to know at 11 p.m. on a Saturday when something starts dripping. We'd rather spend the extra twenty minutes walking you through it than hand you a report you have to decode alone.

If you can't be there, that's fine too. Plenty of our clients are buying from out of state or can't get out of work. Just ask, and we’ll call you when we’re done and walk you through what we saw.

The report

You get a written report with photos. It shows you what we saw, in plain words, without a lot of technical language you'd have to look up.

When we see something that needs a closer look, we say so, and we tell you what kind of contractor to call — an electrician, a plumber, a roofer. Then that contractor can look at it, tell you whether anything needs doing, and give you a price.

We don't tell you what to fix or what to spend. That's not our call, and we wouldn't want it to be. Our job is to hand you clear information so you can make your own decisions about your own house.

We are here after, too

This is the part people do not expect.

A lot of inspectors deliver the report and disappear. We don't. Call us a month from now. Call us six months from now. We'll still be here.

Buying a house is a big thing. It is stressful, it moves fast, and there is a lot riding on it. A good inspection will not make that go away — but it will mean you know what you are walking into.

Where we work

We inspect homes across Bristol, Plymouth, Norfolk, and Barnstable Counties in Massachusetts, and in northern Rhode Island. Our inspectors are licensed in both states.

Getting in touch

We are happy to answer questions before you book — what the inspection covers, how long it takes, and what it costs. No obligation.
