Hello! My name is Nathan Houlihan, owner of I Know A Guy – Inspections LLC.

Fort Walton Beach has been my home since 2015, when I was stationed at Hurlburt Field as a Communications Non-Commissioned Officer with Air Force Special Operations. After serving 6 years and 5 months on active duty, I fell in love with the Gulf Coast and decided to plant roots here with my wife, Shelby. Since then, we’ve welcomed two amazing sons, Owen (born in 2021) and Sullivan (born in 2022) along with our two dogs, Dexter (a Pitbull/Boxer mix) and Walter (a Great Dane).

Before joining the military, I worked in construction, a field I’ve been passionate about since 2011. That hands-on experience, combined with holding a real estate license, gives me a unique edge in the inspection world. I understand homes from the inside out - how they’re built, how they function, and where problems tend to hide.

As a licensed and insured home inspector, I’m committed to helping clients make confident, informed decisions—whether you’re buying your first home or adding to your investment portfolio. I take pride in providing detailed, easy-to-understand reports and walking clients through every step of the inspection process.
