Hi, my name is Pat Boyd. I am a retired airline captain for a US major airline with 21 years of service and 32 years of total flying. I make my home in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. My father was a general contractor and I grew up working with him in many facets of construction including framing and trim finishing. I have always had a heart for construction and have always valued the home. I have merged my construction experience with my technical ability, learned as an airline captain. I understand the importance of being mechanically minded. There is so much commonality between a large airplane and a home. Airplanes have complex electrical systems, air conditioning systems and technical systems that are parallel to the family home. Being an airline captain requires tremendous knowledge, trust, expertise, integrity and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Making sure your home is safe will always be my #1 priority as a home inspector. My goal is to find anything that makes the house unsafe. That’s exactly what I did as a pilot for 32 years. During my preflight, I would search for anything that could create a hazard or be unsafe. My promise to the client is to be thorough and meticulous throughout the inspection process advocating for the client at all times. My commitment to customer service is unwavering. That is our “Inspect the Smokies Promise” which is a promise from me to inspect every home as if it was my very own and get your unbiased inspection report to you quickly. We want our timely, detail, and oriented inspection reports to be a tool for the client to make decisions on whether to purchase a home or not. We want to make a difference for you.

Every inspection is unique to each home. We conduct inspections using the “ASHI” standard of practice which incorporates modern industry standards. We promise that each inspection will meet or exceed industry standards and will be done with integrity. It is an honor to have your business.
